THE heartbroken family of 13-year-old Eboney Cheshire, whose death remains unexplained, have posted an emotional request for her funeral.

Police were called to Sandon Close, Rainhill on Sunday, December 2 after 13-year-old Eboney was taken ill.

She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead at 1.20am on Monday.

Her brother Leon Cheshire shared a post about his sister's funeral, which will take place on Wednesday, January 2 at St Bartholomew’s Church in Rainhill

The post said: "We will make Eboney so proud and give her the best send off a princess deserves.

"The funeral is on the 2nd of January at St Bartholomew’s church at 1pm.

"Eboney will be leaving Sandon Close Rainhill at 12pm from her home where she will be carried by four white horses through Rainhill village.

"Rainhill High will open the gates for a couple of minutes so the horses can take Eboney through the gates and out to say goodbye to her school, then to St Bartholomew’s church.

"Eboney will then be taken to the crem for a short service .

"The celebration of Eboney's short life will possibly take place at the Victoria in Rainhill afterwards.

"It breaks my heart to be typing this as I don't want to ever say goodbye, so if the family can give her the best send off we hope we make her proud. Love you my little angel."

He then added: "For those who attend, we don't wish for people to wear black. Colours are welcome.

"It ' seem appropriate for a child. The family are not asking for flowers either but if you wish you can bring a single rose.

"Thank you to everyone."

The cause of Eboney’s death remains unexplained after a post-mortem examination and the investigation is ongoing.
