A DRIVER has been taken to hospital after a car crashed at an industrial estate this morning.
Emergency services were called to Eastside Industrial Estate on Jackson Street shortly after 10am this morning.
Police, the fire and rescue service and ambulance attended the scene after a Dacia Sandero was involved in a collision.
A spokesperson from the fire service said: "There was a traffic collision, a car went into a skip.
"We were alerted at 10.02am and on scene at 10.05am and we had two fire engines there.
"We removed a passenger door on a vehicle to assist ambulance in removing the driver who has been taken to hospital for further assistance."
A police spokesman added: "A man was driving the vehicle and suffered a medical episode and was in collision with a skip.
"He has been taken to hospital where he is stable."
Police were asked to clear the road so that the air ambulance could land.
