A MAN as been charged with the robbery and attempted robbery of six banks and a bookmakers.
Police were called to seven incidents, including two in Prescot, over recent weeks.
Terence Cole, 61, of Botanic Road, Kensington, Liverpool has been charged with one business robbery and six attempted business robberies.
The charges relate to six bank branches and a bookmakers which were allegedly targeted.
Lloyds Bank on Eccleston Street, Prescot and RBS, High Street, Prescot were among the branches allegedly hit on November 23.
Cole is also accused of offences at Halifax, Allerton Road, Liverpool and TSB, Smithdown Place, Liverpool, on November 21, at Santander, Derby Road, Huyton on November 22 and HSBC, Oxford Road, Liverpool, on December 3.
It is alleged he also targeted William Hill bookmakers on Dale Street, Liverpool.
He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, December 8.
