TWO men are set to appear in court charged with aggravated burglary after a man was allegedly attacked with an axe.
Ryan Atherton, 31, of Celebration Drive, Anfield, Liverpool has been charged with aggravated burglary and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The charges are in connection with an incident on Shaw Lane in Prescot at around 4am on Tuesday which left a man in hospital with arm injuries.
Danny Adderley, 32 of Prospect Vale, Fairfield, Liverpool has also been charged with aggravated burglary.
They will both appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, January 3.
Police say a weapon matching the description given in the report was recovered close to St Luke's Church in Prescot.
