A PLANNING application has been submitted seeking to win permission to create an apartment block at the site of the former Thatto Heath Royal British Legion Club.
Proposals have been drawn up by Langford Homes to create a three-storey high building consisting of 30 apartments at the site on Scholes Lane.
Plans state: "The building will be three storeys high with a set back four-storey element.
"The surrounding area is varied, predominantly two to three storeys".
It says the third-storey parapet height "ties in with the ridge heights of the neighbouring properties".
The plans add: "The fourth floor is subservient to the main form of the building. This eases the transition from two-storey dwellings with pitched roofs to an apartment typology".
Plans also include a garden roof terrace and associated parking.
Plans are on consultation until Thursday, December 20.
