A KITCHEN fire broke out at a house last night, Wednesday.
Two fire engines were sent to Borron Road in Newton-le-Willows at around 11.05pm where the blaze, which had started from a pan of food, had already been put out.
Crews opened windows to let smoke escape the home and carried out a fire safety check.
They fitted an extra smoke alarm too.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
Firefighters left the scene at around 11.25pm
