WEST END star Carley Stenson appeared on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday to cheer on semi finalist Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton for their dance to Les Miserables iconic song I Dreamed a Dream.

The pair, who performed a dramatic American Smooth dance, in the roles of Fantine and a gentleman on the BBC show for its musical week - gaining a total of 38 out of a possible 40.

Carley, from Billinge, who plays the role of Fantine and sings the song on the West End production of Les Miserables in London, appeared on the show ahead of the dance and cheered on BBC journalist Stacey Dooley and pro dancer Kevin alongside a fellow Les Mis cast member.

She later tweeted: "So I believe the radiant @sjdooley & gorge @keviclifton were dancing beautifully on @bbcstrictly to #idreamedadream as I was actually singing it on stage tonight #fantine @lesmizofficial I can’t wait to watch it on catch up. If it’s anything like we saw in the room #itsatenfromme

She later added: "Goosebumps. Stacey captures the emotion & Kevin’s choreography ties in the journey beautifully.

Carley's husband Danny Mac was a finalist of the BBC programme in 2016 with dancer Oti Mabuse.
