A WOMAN has been given a community service order after assaulting a policeman.
Estelle Hughes, of Findlay Street, Leigh, pleaded guilty to assaulting the officer in the town on November 14.
The 51-year-old also admitted to being in possession of the class B drug cannabis on the same date.
She must complete a rehabilitation activity requirement.
The defendant has been fined £50, ordered to pay compensation fee of £75, a victim services surcharge of £85 and court costs of £100.
Hughes appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
