PERMISSION has been granted to create a weight loss clinic at a former post office building.
Proposals submitted to the council said that the applicant seeks to create a Bodyline Weight Loss and Wellbeing clinic at the premises on Higher Parr Street.
The proposed clinic will "complement the current retail and leisure facilities around the site and will not harm the viability or vitality of the existing centre", the application added.
Plans say the clinic would be open from 8am to 10pm on Mondays to Fridays and 8am to 8pm on weekends and Bank Holidays.
Council planning officers have given the proposals the green light.
