TRAINS services between Liverpool and Manchester are now back to normal after an earlier points failure caused major delays today.
The points failure has occurred between Manchester Piccadilly and Newton-Le-Willows stations, therefore trains running between Manchester Piccadilly or Manchester Victoria to Liverpool Lime Street, were affected.
However Northern Rail have now announced that the error is resolved and that train services should be operating as normal.
