A MAN arrested on suspicion of rape has been released.
Police were sent to Bonnywell Road in Leigh at around 1.35am yesterday, Monday, where it was reported that a woman in her 20s had been raped.
A 22-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of rape but has since been released on bail pending further investigations.
The woman has been receiving specialist support by officers.
A police cordon was set up at the scene.
