POLICE have released details of a man they want to speak to in connection with the murder of a woman yesterday, Saturday.

Officers were sent to Swan Avenue, Derbyshire Hill at 11.40am where they found a 29-year-old woman had suffered multiple stab wounds.

Paramedics and officers gave the woman medical assistance and an Air Ambulance crew also attended but she was pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.

Detectives, who believe the offender was known to the victim, say 23-year-old Adam Brettle from Warrington may have vital information and are asking him to come forward immediately.
