FIREFIGHTERS from Heswall were among three crews called to reports of a fire involving a gas cylinder at a farm in Neston.
On arrival at the scene on Liverpool Road in Neston last night, crews discovered that it was a 20kg propane cylinder.
A cordon was set up as firefighters worked at the scene.
They used a hose reel jet to bring the fire under control and cool the cylinder.
Firefighters then left the remaining gas to burn off.
They waited until the cylinder was empty before leaving the scene.
Also attending was a crew from Powey Lane in Mollington and one from Ellesmere Port.
Firefighters were in attendance for more than 45 minutes.
