A 22-YEAR-OLD man accused of robbery at two stores, possession of a knife and attacking a police officer is set to face trial next month.
Layton Holt, also known as Leighton Holt, of Custley Hey, Knowsley, is accused of a robbery at an Asda store in Wigan on Wednesday, November 7 in which items to the value of £193 were stolen.
He is also accused of a robbery at Dave's Off-Licence in Wigan - stealing cash and wine, to the value of £55.98 on Tuesday, November 6.
Holt is also accused of being in possession of an eight-inch kitchen knife while in the off-licence.
He also stands accused of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to a man on November 7, as well as assaulting a police officer.
Holt has been remanded in custody and the case has been sent to Bolton Crown Court for a trial on Wednesday, December 5.
