A MAN was stabbed in the body and slashed in the face during the early hours of yesterday morning, Sunday.

Police were sent to flats on Curzon Place on King Street in Earlestown at around 1.15am where they found the 26-year-old victim had suffered stab wounds to his body and face lacerations.

He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening

Police have been carrying out CCTV and house-to-house enquiries since the assault.
