MORE than 2,000 people gathered in Victoria Square on Sunday for a ceremony of remembrance as St Helens marked the 100th anniversary since the end of the First World War.
The ceremony, which took place beside the war memorial, saw veterans, servicemen and women, dignitaries and families come together in a touching tribute to the brave men and women who served their country both in the past and present.
