FIREFIGHTERS cut the roof of a car off to rescue a person after a crash yesterday morning, Sunday.
Emergency services were sent to Cronton Road, near to the junction with Whitefield Lane, in Prescot at around 9.25am following a crash with two cars.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene where crews removed the roof of one of the cars and lifted a person to safety.
Paramedics treated the patient at the scene, who was taken to hospital with a suspected back injury.
Two people in the other car suffered minor injuries.
Police were in attendance and the road was closed off until around 11.40am.
