THIS powerful image shows the statue of Victoria Cross winner Norman Harvey, which stands in Mesnes Park, Newton-le-Willows as a symbol of remembrance.
The tribute - which has been adorned with poppies to mark the centenary of the Armistice - was unveiled last month following a ceremony.
Paul Campbell from Newton-le-Willows shared the photograph ahead of Sunday’s remembrance services.
Readers can send pictures to the Star of how they are commemorating the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, when the guns fell silent in the First World War.
