PAM Makin, from Eccleston, shared this wonderful picture ahead of Armistice Day. Taken outside the Eagle and Child pub in Rainford, Pam says it shows her great-grandfather, William Thomas Ball (seated centre), who was the landlord with who she presumes are pub regulars who had enlisted.
