ONE week on from the death of Ann Marie Pomphret, enquiries are still ongoing to bring her killer to justice.
Police confirmed today, Friday, that detectives remain open-minded as investigations continue into the final moments of her life.
The 49-year-old, known to many as Marie, was found dead at her stables off Old Alder Lane on the evening of November 2.
Since then, a heavy police presence has remained in the area and forensic officers, including underwater search teams, have been spotted in the area.
A 50-year-old man arrested on suspicion of her murder has been released on conditional bail.
The Warrington Guardian was invited to a media briefing this afternoon to hear the latest on the murder probe.

Here's five key findings that have been released to the media as officers continue to search the stables and surrounding area where her body was found in this secluded area of Warrington.
1. Could Marie's death have been accidental? This was an initial line of inquiry but it has since been ruled out. DCI Simon Blackwell told the Warrington Guardian that following extensive investigations, detectives believe this was a 'definite act of criminality after Marie suffered serious head injuries'.
2. Police are still keeping an open-minded about how Marie's injuries were caused and DCI Blackwell would not comment on whether a weapon had been found.
He said: "The actual cause of death and anything that may have caused her death is still a central part of the investigation so we are keeping an open mind as to what or how exactly those head injuries were caused."

3. Detectives have now widened their investigation to take into account new evidence that has since come to light. This includes door-to-door searches near her home in Winwick Park.
4. Increased patrols will be in the area this evening around the time of Marie's death. Signs have been placed around Burtonwood and Winwick in the hope it will help to unearth vital clues.
Detectives and officers will be in the Hall Lane and Alder Lane area of Burtonwood between 7pm and 10.30pm hoping to jog the memory of any witnesses.
5. Key witnesses still haven't come forward. Police have urged those who were in the area at the time to come forward to help them put together the final pieces of the jigsaw to make sure justice is served for Marie.
A woman was seen walking an Alsatian or German Shepherd along Alder Lane between 7.40pm and 7.50pm on Friday near to the Fiddle 'I'th Bag public house and may be a potential witness.
Police would like to speak to three cyclists with lights on their bikes who cycled together from the direction of Burtonwood along Hall Lane towards the ‘Fiddle I’th Bag’ public house between 9pm and 10pm.
