A MAN in his 20s has died after being hit by a car on St Helens Linkway last night.
Police received a report at 5.50pm, yesterday Wednesday, November 7,that the pedestrian had been injured on the linkway's Rainhill-bound carriageway.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later died.
His next of kin have been informed and are now being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries into the incident.
Police are appealing for those who witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage to come forward.
