CONSTRUCTION is underway at the development of new homes for residents aged 55-plus.
The scheme, on Atlas Street, which is rapidly taking shape, will comprise of 130 apartments for affordable rent.
The foundation works and ground floor slab is now finished and construction of the main superstructure has commenced.
This is the steelwork that’s visible from the road.
Work on the roof structure is expected to begin in the new year.
Plans for the development were drawn up by the Torus Group, parent company of Helena Partnerships.
The scheme is forecast for completion in spring 2020.
