A GENEROUS donation has been made to Little Havens Hospice in Benfleet by a local insurance broker.

Staff at SEIB Insurance Brokers chose the hospice as their charity to support for the last six months, raising £13,500 through a variety of fundraising activities.

SEIB financial director Bipin Thaker said: “We love to support local charities that make a real difference in our community and Little Havens do exactly that. The level of care that they provide the children is outstanding and it’s a real honour for us to be able to help them continue to do this.”

Lydia Plews, business development officer for Little Havens Hospices, said: “On behalf of Little Havens Hospice I would like to say a huge thank you to the team at SEIB for their continued support over the last six months – raising an amazing £13,500 for us in a variety of ways including taking part in our inflatable fun run Kapow over the summer.

“Each week Little Havens must raise over £46,000 to provide the specialist care and support to patients and their families. This is only possible thanks to people and organisations in the community who fundraise for us and help us to continue caring and ‘making every day count’ for children and families across Essex for as long as we’re needed.”
