THEATRE fans can enjoy a real time production that will chill them to the bone on Hallowe’en,Wednesday, October 31 with the

Haunting at Greenacre Cottage at St Helens Theatre Royal.

Written and directed by Liam Scott and Clare Keating, it tells the story of a young couple who head to a remote cottage in Wales

for a well-deserved break with their young baby - but tension builds as they find that something within the cottage does not want

them there.

Though a horror, the show is also full of true British comedy as the couple bicker through their ghostly encounters.

TO celebrate Hallowe’en, Cineworld St Helens is showing 1981s supernatural horror film The Evil Dead on Wednesday, October 31.

The movie, which received rave reviews from famed writer Stephen King, tells the story of five friends who travel to a cabin

in the woods, where they find an audiotape that releases a legion of demons and spirits.

Members of the group suffer from demonic possession, leading to increasingly gory mayhem.

The cult classic low budget screening will take place at 8.45pm, book to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are £10.90 for adults and £8.90 for seniors and students.

VAMPIRES, ghosts, werewolves and zombies are on the march again to take over Sherdley Park this Saturday, October 27 for a spooky day of Hallowe’en family fun.

Children – and grown ups – are invited to wear their crazy costumes, dust off their waterproof boots and join the thousands of families taking part in the annual Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation Spooky Welly Walk - which will start at the children’s play area.

Entry £4 in advance or £5 on the day for adults and children – under twos go free.

Children who finish the walk will get a medal from charity mascot, Samantha the Panther.

LITTLE monsters have plenty of parties and craft events on offer in the run up to Hallowe’en from pumpkin carving to ghostly party fun.

Inglenook Farm on the Rainford Bypass is hosting a craft and pumpkin carving event on Sunday, October 28 and Hallowe’en, Wednesday, October 31 from 3pm to 5pm.

The Tunza Centre on Boundary Road will be hosting a fancy dress Halloween Party on Sunday, October 28 from 1pm to 4pm

including a children’s entertainer, a bouncy castle and spooky game fun and lots more.

Money raised will go to selected charities.

The Clock Face pub will also be hosting a Hallowe’en party from 6pm to 8pm. Free entry.

COMMUNITY cafe Momo’s will be hosting two days full of Hallowe’en fun this weekend with everything from pumpkin carving, glass lantern making, scary stories, crafty fun and face painting for little monsters.

Due to health and safety only 15 children can be in a session, so they are divided into Saturday, October 27 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

The Sunday, October 28 event will take place from noon to 2pm.

Tickets are £10 per child and must be pre booked. Price includes unlimited juice and a scary cake.

THE cafe is also ghost tea light making workshop on Tuesday, October, 23.

The Cotham Street venue is holding several events over half term, so with this clay workshop, from 2.30pm, tickets need to be booked in advance.

A SPOOKTACULAR children’s party in aid of the HoneyRose Foundation will take place on Saturday, October 27 at the charity’s Cotham Street function room.

From noon onwards, guests can tuck into sweets, treats and toffee apples while watching a magician and playing fun and games.

Entry at only £10 per child but be sure to come looking as spooky as possible.

A SPOOKY crafts event will be taking place at Billinge Library on Wednesday, October 24 from 2pm to 3pm, and two days later the library will be hosting a fancy dress read and rhyme spooky session from 10.15am on Friday, October 26.

ON Monday, October 22, Chester Lane Library will be hosting a Spooky Crafts Session from will be at 2pm.

CHILDREN will get te chance to take a scary book home with them on Monday, October 22 with the Spooky Read and Rhyme Time at Haydock Library.

The event is from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
