Paramedics at the scene near the St Helens Linkway
A WOMAN pedestrian suffered suspected serious leg injuries after she was hit by a car on the St Helens Linkway.
The victim, aged 32, was injured at 7.20pm near to the KFC restaurant in St Helens.
The collision involved a Vauxhall Astra.
A police spokeswoman said: "We were called to a collision between a car and a pedestrian. The woman was taken to hospital with what were described as non life-threatening injuries but what was thought to be a serious leg injury.
"The road was closed before being re-opened at 8.30pm."
