HERE are six events coming up near you over the newxt few days and weeks:

  • Slime workshop

CHILDREN and adult slime making workshop fun is coming to Momo’s Cafe this month.
The two events, will take place on Friday, October 26, with the children’s event taking place from 5.30pm followed by a screening of the Ghostbusters film.
Tickets are £12.50 each, which includes a drink and popcorn. 
The adult slime making workshop (yes you read that correctly) will take place from 8pm, again followed by a screening of Ghostbusters film.
Tickets are £15 per person which includes a drink and popcorn. 
Everyone will get to keep their own slime.
Payment is needed on booking.

  • Attic sale 

BARGAIN hunters are invited to attend a attic sale this West Street Independent Methodist Church this Saturday, October 13. 
The event will run from 9.30am to noon. Breakfast snacks will also be on sale. Admission 30p.

  • Autism Hour

PETS at Home St Helens will be holding an Autism Hour this Saturday to make shopping more inclusive for those on the spectrum. 
The National Autistic Society’s Autism Hour campaign asks shops and businesses to take simple steps that will lead to a more autism friendly world.
St Helens is one of 440 plus Pets at Home stores in the UK that will be holding their Autism Hour for the first hour of the day, on on Saturday, October 13.

  • Walks invitation

AVID walkers are invited to attend the upcoming walk hosted by St Helens Group of the Rambling Association at Bakewell in the Peak District on Saturday, October 20.
There will be a choice of one of three graded walks between six and 12 miles.
Tickets cost £15 inclusive of coach travel from St Helens town centre for non-members of the Rambling Association.

  • Farm sale

AWARD-WINNING regional produce and handmade crafts, jewellery, art and more will be on sale from over 50 stalls this Sunday, October 14, at the Artisan Market at Inglenook Farm.
The farm, off the Rainford bypass, will host the event from 10am, which will include Thai pies, vegan garlic butter, chimney cakes, fresh veg and many 
mouth watering treats to choose from. 
The event will also include swing music, a farmhouse cafe, animals and more.
Parking is free but limited.
Good shoes recommended as it is a working farm. 
Dogs are allowed throughout on a lead.

  • Cancer support

ENJOY the sounds of live 60s music as St Helens Cancer Support Group who are holding a fundraising evening this month.
The event, to be held at Blackbrook Rugby Club, on Boardmans Lane, will take place on Friday, October 19, from 7.30pm.
As well as live performances of 60s rock ‘n’ roll music by Paul Thompson there will be a raffle, disco, bingo and hotpot included on the night.
