APPROVAL has been granted to plans to turn a former off-licence into a furniture restoration and upcycling shop.

A planning application was submitted by Steven Ward seeking to transform the former Booze Buster premises at 62 to 64 Peckers Hill Road in Sutton.

The planning application said: "Changing Communities is a not-for-profit social enterprise".

They added its first project, called ReStore, will "undertake small-scale furniture restoration and upcycling at this address; furniture will then be sold within this shop premises (and potentially online)."

One part-time employee is expected to be in operation at the premises.

Planning officers gave the proposals the nod.
