A MUSIC festival held in aid of six-year-old Kaycee Bradshaw raised almost £2,000 to help the battling youngster.

Kaycee, from Sutton, has a rare neurological condition, Batten Disease, which typically begins in childhood.

Due to this she has lost much of her mobility due to the condition, including her ability to walk. Her speech and understanding is limited and it will lead to childhood dementia.

There is no known cure for this form of the disease, and therefore specialist symptom management and therapy is essential to assist in maintaining a good quality of life for children and their families.

Kaycee Fest was held at Lillies Bar on Westfield Street was inspired to help out after a video was made by KG Express delivery man Keith Grimes with singer Jack Bennett to raise awareness for Kaycee.

The festival saw acts including Jack, Kiera Weathers, Salander and more perform live as the event brought a day of smiles to little Kaycee and her family, who attended.

A cheque for £1,930 was handed over to Kaycee and mum Claire at the bar earlier this week.
