HOME Bargains could be the next name to be part of the West Point development.

The former eyesore, across from Cineworld cinema, has been subject to an ongoing development project as it is transformed into a leisure and retail complex.

The West Point site has already seen an Aldi superstore, Costa Coffee drive-thru and a Frankie & Benny's open at the location, although Bella Italia withdrew from the project.

Construction is currently underway on a Superbowl UK, which developers Orbit say will launch in 2019.

It is believed Home Bargains are to become the next company to come to West Point, with only one ground floor unit next to Superbowl now available.

The Orbit Developments website says: "Linkway West is already home to an Aldi supermarket and a Costa Coffee, whilst Superbowl UK are due to open a brand new ten-pin bowling venue in 2019 with Home Bargains soon to follow".

The developers added: "Only unit B now remains available, a ground floor retail unit totalling 1,055 sq.ft situated next to the entrance of Superbowl UK".

When the Star contacted Home Bargains, a spokesperson said they are unable to confirm their involvement with the project at this stage.
