A MAN has been charged in connection with an attack in the town centre which left a dad-of-seven blinded in one eye.
On the evening of Friday, July 27, 45-year-old Kenny Miller was struck to the head with an object on Westfield Street.
Mr Miller was walking back to his town centre home after he had taken his daughter for a haircut five days after she had given birth.
Kenny has been left permanently blind in his left eye due to the attack and also sustained a broken eye socket and a broken cheekbone in the attack.
He underwent surgery at Fazakerley Hospital and has since been discharged.
Liam Boulton, 24, of Pendle Avenue, Blackbrook, was arrested in connection to the attack.
He has since been charged with a causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Boulton has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday, October 16.
