The crash happened this evening
TWO cars have been involved in a crash on the Rainford By-pass.
The incident involving a Vauxhall Astra and a Black Ford Focus happened shortly after 5pm near to the junction with Mill Lane.
A police spokesman said an ambulance was initially called, however, the people in the cars had minor injuries.
The closure led to traffic delays.
