A COUPLE has spoken of their upset after a camera containing “sentimental memories” was snatched from their car by a thief.
Neil Lucas, 75, was shocked to find the camera had been taken overnight from his Vauxhall Mokka which was outside his Blackbrook home.
The camera was stolen, along with a Sat Nav from the car during the night between Tuesday, September 11 and Wednesday 12.
Neil says a small silver Prakita 750z camera and TomTom Sat nav was taken by the culprits, who left no signs of damage on the vehicle.
“There was no damage to the car,” said Neil, a retired NHS worker.
“I don’t know how they got into the car exactly, it’s mystified me.”
Neil added: “It is not much in terms of money value but my partner is really upset. There are 40th birthday pictures on it and she is very upset about it.
“There are also pictures of our old dog which passed away. We got her from a rescue home.
“They are sentimental memories which have gone.
“It is an old camera by modern standards
“I would urge them, if they could just return the memory card.”
