ROADS have been shut following strong winds and rain overnight.
Oughtrington Lane in Lymm remains closed due to flooding, while Lumb Brook Road in Appleton was also shut due to a fallen tree.
Police officers helped to ferry Lymm High School pupils onto the site this morning.
The school tweeted: “A big shout out to Cheshire Police, who helped staff deliver Lymm High School students safely from the buses and into school this morning due to the flooding on Oughtrington Lane.
“Thank you Cheshire Police.”

Cllr Bob Barr has expressed concerns over persistent flooding in to area, and pledged to enquire into the matter during Monday’s full council meeting.
He tweeted: “Out of sight, out of mind – the blocked or impeded gully situation across Warrington seems to have got out of hand.
“We look forward to the executive board member’s answer to our question at full council on Monday.”
