There was a crash on the M6 this morning
A CRASH involving three cars at Haydock Island has caused delays this morning.
The accident took place on the hard shoulder on the M6 southbound at Junction 23 at around 6.40am this morning.
The incident involved three vehicles and has caused congestion up to Junction 26 at the Orrell interchange.
One lane was closed while the incident was dealt with and has since been reopened.
All traffic was briefly held while the vehicles involved were assisted to the hard shoulder.
