UNITED Utilities has moved to reassure residents in Newton-le-Willows who are experiencing discoloured water flowing through their taps today.
United Utilities said: "Some customers in #WA12 #NewtonLeWillows may find that their water is discoloured.
This is nothing to worry about and the best way to clear this is to run the cold tap on a slow trickle (why not capture this in a bowl & use it on the garden or plants?)".
