A NIGHTCLUB has raised £1,540 for The Daniel Fox Foundation which will go towards preventative knife measures.

Empire Club on Westfield Street sponsor the foundation which set up in memory of Daniel Fox, who was fatally stabbed in the area in September 2016 aged 29.

The foundation set up in his memory aims to make rid the town of knife crime - an initiative supported by many clubs in the town - and has already seen an introduction of knife wands in bars and clubs in the town centre.

The Empire Club said: “The Daniel Fox Foundation is very close to our heart and it is a very important cause.

“We will continue to help raise money for the Daniel Fox Foundation and support his family, we are proud to present a cheque for £1,540 towards preventative measures for St Helens.”
