Officers called to early hours 'disturbance'
POLICE were called to reports of a disturbance in Newton-le-Willows in the early hours of Saturday morning (July 7).
Officers attended Neville Street shortly before 1am after receiving report of an incident and made an arrest at the scene.
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 12.55am on Saturday to reports of a disturbance and arrested a 28 year-old man on suspicion of common assault.
"He has since been released with no further action to be taken."
