ST Helens Council is looking for a communications expert to take charge of its digital offerings.
The candidate will join the council’s corporate services as a ‘digital communications lead’ and will be tasked with driving a project to redevelop the authority’s website and intranet.
The full-time role – which will pay an annual salary of £31,401 to £34,106 – will also see the new-starter develop and implement a digital and social media strategy.
The job advert says: “St Helens Council is looking for a digital communications professional to help devise digital strategies and lead projects to ensure we always use the right platforms in the right way to communicate effectively with our audiences and achieve our organisational goals.
“The purpose of this role is to manage and develop the council’s digital channels including its corporate website, council microsites, intranet, video and social media platforms, and also co-ordinate high quality content across these channels.
“Your first challenges in this demanding role, will be to lead a project to redevelop our corporate website and our intranet, as well as helping develop and implement a digital and social media strategy, which will drive the successful implementation of digital communication channels to enhance the council’s ability to communicate and interact effectively with its diverse communities.”
