THIS weapon and a quantity of drugs were recovered as armed police were called to reports of a disturbance in Whiston.
Officers attended the area around Greenes Road, Whiston on Sunday (June 10) to reports of people being chased in the street with one offender described as being "armed with a machete".
As a result, armed response officers were called to the area to conduct a search for offenders.
The blade and drugs were recovered at the scene.
A 24-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were arrested in connection with the incident, say police.
