A 19-YEAR-OLD Prescot man has been charged after police raised properties across Liverpool, the Wirral and North Wales yesterday in an investigation into gun crime.

Police carried out raids across Liverpool, the Wirral and North Wales on Thursday morning (May 24) and have charged 11 people with offences.

Marcel Velloza, 19, of Tithebarn Road, Prescot was charged with conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspiracy to possess prohibited firearms; conspiracy to possess ammunition without a certificate; and conspiracy to transfer prohibited firearms.

Others charged following yesterday's raids are:

  • James Lunt, 27, from Orchard Avenue, Broad Green was charged with: conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspiracy to possess prohibited firearms; conspiracy to possess ammunition without a certificate; conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug – cocaine; conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis; and conspiracy to transfer prohibited Firearms.
  • Lee Brown, 29, from Holmrook Road in Norris Green was charged with: conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspiracy to possess prohibited firearms; conspiracy to possess ammunition without a certificate; conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug – cocaine; conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis; and conspiracy to transfer prohibited firearms.
  • James Bennett, 24, from Arnold Grove in Wavertree was charged with: conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspiracy to possess prohibited firearms; conspiracy to possess ammunition; and conspiracy to transfer prohibited firearms.
  • Thomas Wishart, 22, from Ebony Way, Kirkby was charged with: conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspiracy to possess prohibited firearms; conspiracy to possess ammunition without a certificate; and conspiracy to transfer prohibited firearms.
  • Dean Corrigan, 39, from Burnthwaite Road, Knotty Ash was charged with: conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspiracy to possess prohibited firearms; conspiracy to possess ammunition without a certificate; and conspiracy to transfer prohibited firearms.
  • Michael Connerty, 31, from Boothwood Close, Kensington was charged with: conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspiracy to possess prohibited firearms; conspiracy to possess ammunition without a certificate; conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug – cocaine; Conspire to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis; and conspiracy to transfer prohibited firearms.
  • Catherine McGuiness, 49, from Nickleby Close in Toxteth was charged with: conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspiracy to possess prohibited firearms; conspiracy to possess ammunition without a certificate; conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug – cocaine; conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis; and conspiracy to transfer prohibited firearms.
  • Kieran Hodge, 27, from Frampton Road in Walton was charged with: conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspiracy to possess prohibited firearms; conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis; and perverting the course of justice.
  • Liam Ackers, 24, from Cedar Road in Walton was charged with Conspire to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis.
  • Thomas Browne, 31, was produced from HMP Altcourse and was charged with conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis.

All 11 are due to appear today at Wirral Magistrates' Court in Birkenhead.
