POLICE made an arrest after discovering this knife after conducting a search on a suspect in Haydock.
Community officers made the search yesterday evening (Saturday) and found what they describe as "a nasty looking knife".
A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife.
St Helens Police said: "Officers were on patrol in Haydock and utilised their search powers resulting in the removal of this weapon from our streets.
"Knife crime in St Helens will not be tolerated by Merseyside Police.
"Any information on knife crime please report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
