MORE than 2,000 runners are expected to take part in this year’s 10k and the Steve Prescott Foundation has put together a tick list for those taking part, including everything from morning preparation to parking.

  •  On the morning of the race:

Runners should be at the Totally Wicked Stadium North Stand by 9am at the latest as the event starts at 9.30am following a warm up at 9.20am.

The 10k operates a rolling start so signs will be clearly displayed in the start area with estimated finishing times on them.

Go to the area signed with your expected finishing time, or the next available space if your chosen time is particularly busy.

A secure baggage holding area, race information desk, toilet facilities and refreshments will be available in the North Stand before the race.

  •  Parking:

There will be no vehicle access or parking available at the stadium.

Free of charge parking will be available in St Helens Council car parks in the town centre, however privately owned car parks such as Tesco, The Range or retail parks may incur a fine.

  •  On the course:

A water station will be available outside GPW Recruitment at the top of North Road.

First aid provision will be available on the course – should anyone need any assistance during the race speak to the nearest steward who will be able to help you.

  •  Spectators:

Family, friends and well wishers can be present at the South Stand of the stadium or at any point on the course.
