SAINTS skipper James Roby has given his backing to the #NoMoreKnives campaign.
Led by the family of Danny Fox, the campaign was launched in December.
There has been a succession of knife attacks involving youths over the past 18 months, raising fears that more people are walking the streets armed with blades.
In nearby Prescot, separate murder inquiries have been launched following the deaths of Tommy Grace and Adam Ellison in unrelated stabbings.
The campaign's aims include raising funds to get knife wands placed into bars in the town centre.
The Saints captain said: "We are backing the #NoMoreKnivesCampaign because we want St Helens to be a nice place to live and a safe environment for kids growing up."
