POLICE have fired a warning to cyclists to be alert following numerous bike thefts in recent weeks in the town centre.
Officers say they have received report of bicycles being stolen in areas of the town centre including King Street, Water Street and Chalon Way.
Police took to social media to issue the advice.
St Helens Police said: "We have received a number reports of bicycles being stolen from the areas of King Street, Water Street and Chalon Way in the town centre in recent weeks.
"Please ensure that your bikes are secured."
