POLICE are investigating the death of a man in his 40s who was found in a house on Wednesday (January 10).
Officers are treating the death as "unexplained" and are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances.
Police received a call at around 2pm on Wednesday reporting a man in his 40s having been found at a house in Lingholme Road, near Queens Park.
The police and ambulance service attended and the man was confirmed as dead at the scene.
Officers have remained at the scene this morning (Thursday) to carry out further enquiries to establish the full circumstances of his death, which is being treated as unexplained.
The man's next of kin have been informed and a Home Office Post Mortem will take place later today.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 585 of 10 January.
