DETECTIVES have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace in connection with a shop robbery.
During the raid at the Co-op late shop on West End Road, Haydock a thug threatened a cashier with what police believe was an iron bar.
The robber hid the weapon up his sleeve before escaping with cash from the till.
He is described as white, around 5ft 9ins tall, muscular build and spoke with a local accent.
He had a stubbly goatee beard and was wearing a beige jacket, a light coloured open neck top and jeans.
The robbery happened at about 7.45 pm on Friday, May 11 2007.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may recognise the man in the CCTV image.
