A CLOSURE order has been granted on a property in Parr after police seized heroin at the address following reports of anti-social behaviour.

Officers executed a drugs warrant at the property on Lascelles Street after numerous complaints from nearby residents in relation to anti-social behaviour.

A 46 year-old man, from St Helens, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He has since been released while the police investigation continues.
The warrant was executed on Tuesday last week (November 7).

Following the warrant, St Helens Local Policing Team has successfully applied for a closure order on the property.

This means that no-one can enter the property without the permission of Merseyside Police for a period of three months and anyone found to breach the order will be arrested and placed before the court.

A statement from St Helens Police on social media said: "We hope this will be a warning and deterrent to people who blight the community with anti-social behaviour."
