RADIO DJ Jo Whiley is lining up all of the crowd pleasing tunes for a huge, stylish Party in the Paddock on Saturday, August 12 at Haydock Park.

Alongside the racing, this year's Betfred Rose of Lancaster Stakes Ladies Day will feature fashion and music.

Men and women can enter a 'Most Stylish Individual’ competition for a chance of being crowned winner of the Betfred Rose of Lancaster Style Stakes and win a £2,000 holiday voucher.

Olympic hockey team player and I'm a Celebrity star Sam Quek will be heading up the style judging panel.

There will also be an award for the 'Most Stylish Group' who will win a VIP hospitality experience at Ladies Day at the Randox Health Grand National Festival on April 13, courtesy of Betfred.

Jo Whiley said: “I really love playing at racecourses, the people there are really up for a party. Whether the racegoers are celebrating or commiserating, they are in the best of moods and ready to dance – it’s a real party atmosphere.

“I love looking out at a sea of people having a good time. All the girls are dressed in their amazing outfits, carrying their heels, and just having a great time.

“My set is packed full of great tunes, a real range of music from The Killers to Abba, and I throw a bit of Beyonce and Chic in there together with Frank Sinatra. The one song which really gets everyone on their feet and dancing… that has to be House of Pain’s dancefloor classic Jump Around!”

Ladies Day will feature the Betfred Haydock Park Ladies Derby as well as the famous Rose of Lancaster Stakes, both live on ITV Racing.

Last year saw the inauguration of the development award - a £20,000 prize designed to provide an opportunity for personal development and professional support for female jockeys in their racing career. Emma Sayer successfully won the award in a nail-biting finish against Rachel Richardson, who was also in the running for the life-changing prize.

This year, the award will be presented to a lady jockey who rides a winner at Carlisle’s #AmazingMonday fixture on Monday 7th August and then goes on to win the Betfred Ladies’ Trophy Handicap Stakes at Haydock.
