NEWS presenter and Willowbrook Hospice patron Roger Johnson served up a treat as he joined 140 guests to celebrate the 10th anniversary of hospice fundraiser 'Tea at Three'.

The annual event, organised by fundraising group The Non-Stoppers, saw The United Reformed Church in St Helens transformed into an elegant tea room with guests enjoying sandwiches, cakes and scones.

The Non-Stoppers was formed in 2001 by Sheila Jones from Rainhill to help raise funds for Willowbrook, which cared for her husband Eric who died in August 2000 after being diagnosed with bowel cancer.

As well as organising ‘Tea at Three’ for the past 10 years, Sheila and The Non-Stoppers produce a beautiful range of handcrafted home accessories which they sell at local fetes, fayres and craft events.

Sheila said: “It was an absolutely brilliant afternoon which raised over £1,200 for the hospice. Everyone had a lovely time and Roger really got into the swing of things, chatting to all the guests over a cuppa and a cake.”
