POLICE have released these CCTV images after a burglary in Rainhill last month.

Detectives have issued stills of two men they wish to speak to in connection the incident, which happened on View Road on Thursday, June 22.

At around 4.25pm, two men were seen running from a property with suspected stolen property.

A member of the public gave chase and saw the men climb over the wall of Rainhill Railway Station.

The first man described is white, around 5ft 8in tall, in his mid 20s, of medium build, wearing a black jacket with 'Superdry' in red writing on the shoulder, black bottoms and blue trainers. He has a shaven head, on top of which he was wearing sunglasses, and was carrying what appeared to be a black backpack.

The second man is described as white, around 6ft tall, in his mid to late 20s, wearing a grey two-tone jumper with 'MCK' on the front, grey tracksuit bottoms, and carrying a green jacket over his arm. He has a shaven head or closely cropped stubble length hair which appeared grey and black. He was holding a light coloured bag.

Detective Constable Roy Waller said: "A laptop was stolen from the house and I would appeal anyone who recognises these men to get in touch as we need to speak to them.

"If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in View Road around 4pm, or men running off towards the station, please get in touch."
